Alright it looks like we have a solid river level forecast heading into this weekend. We are going to remain at flood levels through Thursday and the river will begin to drop Thursday night into the weekend. Unfortunately the river isn’t expected to drop enough on Friday for great sandbar camping. We are still expected to be at around 20,000 cfs on Friday the 4th which means extremely limited sandbars and what sandbars there are will be very small. We have sent an email to all groups heading out on overnights on Friday regarding your options so make sure you check your email! Saturday is looking better but the river will still be quite high so that means small sandbars and you may have to share a sandbar with another group. The weather forecast for Saturday is calling for a possibility of some scattered storms blowing through our area during the evening. For those going out Saturday, make sure you check out our river and storm safety page and come prepared for inclement weather!
