Bachelor/Bachelorette Parties

Your best friend is getting married and you’re in charge of the party, what do you do? Strippers aren’t it and mostly you just want a chance to get together with everyone you haven’t seen in a while.   Sitting around the campfire out on your own sandbar with an ample supply of beer and a clear view of the night sky might be an option.

Bachelor parties (and to a lesser extent, bachelorette parties) are a common occurence on the lower Wisconsin.  It’s a great opportunity to bring all of the old friends back together for a weekend away from technology and just hang out.  Canoes are plenty big enough to bring along a keg or a few cases of beer (make sure there’s no glass – that’s a $739 fine) along with enough firewood to keep the fire going strong into the night.  Camping on any of the hundreds of sandbars is free and doesn’t require a permit.  Best of all, aside from a few sporadic houses, the river is completely undeveloped so there’s no one to bother with your antics.

To find out more about planning an overnight trip on the river, check out our page on overnight canoe camping.

Groups going overnight receive automatic discounts when booking through our automated reservation system. The larger the group, the larger the discounts. Depending on the size and duration of your trip, your party will automatically get up to 20% off the standard day trip rates.
