The conditions for this weekend are shaping up to be difficult to predict. With the current Dam forecasts, the dam flow rate of Prairie du Sac is expected to climb to 15k cfs by Saturday. This is pretty much the peak level where we can still send overnight trips out. The river level is still highly contingent on the rainfall we receive on Wednesday and Thursday. Basically, we don’t know what the river will be at yet for this weekend. It is possible that the river climbs to even higher than projected levels or the forecast may correct to be lower than projected. Our river conditions page has a graph with the projected flowrate of the dam, this will be something to keep an eye on the next 24hrs to see how it changes. For those heading out on trips this week/weekend, we have sent out an email regarding the high river levels so make sure you take a look at that. We will keep a close eye on the conditions and continue to post updates as more information is provided.
