Peak Summer Sandbars

The river is currently flowing at 4,036 cfs and is expected to drop toward 3,200 cfs by the weekend. This is the classic summer sweet spot. Navigation is easy and sandbars are huge and plentiful right now. If you are looking for an overnight trip, this is the window to take it.

Today’s weather is starting with some fog but will clear out to a high of 80 degrees with almost no wind. We are seeing a slight chance of rain toward Sunday and Monday, but the Friday and Saturday outlook is solid for paddling. Use the fog this morning as an excuse to drink a second cup of coffee before heading out.

Inventory is at 40% for today, though Saturday is already over 60% full. We have 84 units left for today and about 46 left for the weekend. If you want a specific boat for Saturday, book it sooner than later.
