The river is currently running at 4,232 cfs, which is right in the sweet spot for sandbar camping. Navigation is easy and there is plenty of dry sand available for anyone heading out today. We have 108 units still available for walk-ins or last-minute bookings this morning.
Keep an eye on the Saturday forecast. We are looking at over an inch of rain, which usually turns a sandbar into a mud puddle. If you are planning an overnight, today through Friday looks much better than Saturday. Winds are holding light from the east, so you won't be fighting much of a breeze on the water.
Water levels are projected to drop slightly toward 3,500 cfs by early next week. That just means even more sand will be showing. If you can handle a little drizzle today, the river is in great shape.
