The Wisconsin River is flowing at 6,668 cfs today, which is essentially the gold standard for sandbar camping. The water levels have stabilized in a great spot, leaving plenty of high, dry sand exposed throughout the lower river valley. If you are heading out with your own equipment, you couldn't ask for better navigation or camping conditions.
That said, our rental and shuttle season is officially over. The fleet is pulled and we aren't running any more trips for the 2026 season. It is always a bit of a coin toss whether the weather and water will cooperate once we hit late September, and while the river looks great right now, the books are closed.
Weather for the weekend looks decent with highs in the upper 60s and light winds from the East. There is a bit of drizzle in the forecast for Friday, but nothing that would significantly move the river gauge. Enjoy the quiet on the water if you're out there.
