We are officially into the offseason. The gear is packed away and the shuttle vans are parked until May. If you were looking for a rental or a ride from us, you missed the window for 2026.
The river itself is sitting in a classic summer band, currently at 5,260 cfs and projected to drop toward 4,100 cfs this week. Sandbars are massive and easy to find right now. It is the kind of water we usually hope for in July, just without the July weather to go with it.
If you have your own boat and cold-weather gear, the navigation is easy and the camping is wide open. Just keep in mind that at these temperatures, a tip-over is a serious emergency rather than a way to cool off. Leave the summer mindset at home if you're heading out.
