Offseason Levels and Massive Sandbars

We are officially in the offseason and the rental fleet is packed up for the year. Standard trip operations ended in September, so don't expect the shuttle vans to be running. The river is currently hovering in a classic low-water band between 4,100 and 4,500 cfs through the weekend.

At these levels, the sandbars are massive and navigation is dead simple. The weather forecast for the next few days is actually better than most of July was, with highs hitting 80 degrees on Saturday and light winds across the board.

It is a shame the river looks this good after the vans are already parked. If you are heading out with your own equipment, you will have your pick of any beach on the map.
