The river is sitting at 6,840 cfs today and dropping slowly toward the 6,000 mark by the weekend. This is the classic summer sweet spot. Sandbars are high, dry, and easy to find from Sauk City down to Muscoda.
It is going to be hot this week with highs consistently in the 90s. We have 14 mph winds coming out of the south, which helps with the heat but won't do much for your paddle speed. Thunderstorms are in the forecast every day through Friday. Keep a close eye on the radar or you’ll be taking an unscheduled shower.
Inventory is wide open right now. We have 139 units available for today and plenty of space for the rest of the week if you are looking to get out before the holiday weekend kicks into gear.
