Wisconsin Canoe Company sends text messages from our main number, (608) 432-5058, only to people who ask for them or text us first.
What we send
- Replies to your texts. When you text (608) 432-5058, our automated assistant or our staff reply to your questions in that conversation.
- Booking links. When you call (608) 432-5058 and ask our automated phone assistant to text you a link to book, we send that link. One text per request.
- Trip alerts. If you check the text-alert box when you book online, we text you about severe weather, high water or changes that affect your trip, usually 0–3 texts per trip.
We never send marketing texts.
How you opt in
- On a call, the assistant asks: “Would you like me to text you a link to book? It comes from Wisconsin Canoe Company at 608-432-5058. Message and data rates may apply, and you can reply STOP to opt out.” We text only if you say yes. Calls are recorded, including your answer.
- When booking online, check “Text me alerts about my trip.” The box starts unchecked and you don’t need it to book.
The fine print
Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to cancel at any time; you’ll get one confirmation and no more texts.
