Offseason Status and November Flows

The river is currently at 5,790 cfs. In the middle of July, these would be prime conditions with sandbars everywhere, but it's November and the air is 53 degrees. The water is cold and the river is quiet.

We are officially in the offseason. Our rental fleet is packed away and we aren't running shuttles or overnight trips. If you are taking your own boat out, be aware that flows are expected to climb toward 9,800 cfs by the weekend. It is still well within the normal navigation range, but the window for comfortable paddling is definitely shut.

It's a good time to be a duck, but a tough time to be a camper.
