October River Levels and Offseason Update

We are officially in the offseason and the rental fleet is put away for the year. The river is currently holding steady around 4,900 cfs and is projected to dip into the high 3,000s over the next few days. Physically, the river is in great shape with massive sandbars exposed, but the water is cold and we are no longer running shuttles.

Expect a wet one today with nearly an inch of rain on the forecast. The sky clears up Friday and into the weekend, though temperatures will stay in the 50s and 60s. If you are taking your own gear out, be aware that current wind speeds are picking up to around 17 mph by Friday, which can make for a long haul on the wider stretches of the river.

The sandbars are wide open for anyone hardy enough to be out there, but the summer heat is gone. We will be back to normal operations in May.
