Peak Summer Sandbars are Out

Flow is currently 6,400 cfs and dropping. These are the classic summer levels where sandbars are everywhere and easy to find. Expect the water to keep receding toward 4,100 cfs over the next few days, which will only expose more beach. At these levels, the river is slow and the navigation is straightforward.

Highs are hitting 89 degrees today. We have some rain showers in the forecast, but at these temperatures, a little water is usually a relief. Wind is a non-issue at 4 mph, so you won't be fighting to stay on course. It's essentially a giant slow-motion pool right now.

We have 123 units still available for today, which is unusual for mid-July. If you’ve been waiting for a window with low crowds and maximum sandbar acreage, this is it. The river is wide open and the camping is as good as it gets.
