Northern Wisconsin has gotten hit pretty hard with heavy rain and storms. All that rain is going to cause the river to rise Wednesday night heading into Thursday. As of now, the river level looks like it will hit its peak early on Saturday and begin to drop throughout Sunday. However, with the heat wave we have coming through our area we have a chance of thunderstorms pretty much every day this week, especially Wednesday through Saturday. Depending on the storms we receive this could make the river rise even more. We will be closely monitoring the river levels and weather and post a more concrete update on Tuesday and Wednesday but we may have to cancel our overnight trips from Wednesday through Saturday. The rain just keeps coming and we hate to have to cancel trips but there just wont be sandbars available if the river rises to projected levels.
