Wisconsin Canoe Company (Adventure Base Inc, also known as The Best Canoe Company Ever) offers canoe and kayak rentals with shuttle service on the Lower Wisconsin River. We operate from four put-in landings — Prairie Du Sac, Mazomanie, Arena, and Spring Green — shuttling paddlers upriver so they finish back at their own cars at Peck's Landing in Spring Green. No bus ride home. Your car is waiting at the end.

The Lower Wisconsin Riverway is a state-protected corridor. The sandbars are wide, the river often stretches hundreds of yards across, and the bluffs above the driftless area make it one of the most scenic paddling destinations in the Midwest. 85% of customers choose to camp overnight on a sandbar — no site numbers, no permits, just the river.

## Season

## Trip Options

### Day Trip — Arena to Spring Green (10 miles)
The most popular day trip. Highest concentration of sandbars on the entire riverway. 3.5–4 hours of paddling; plan to spend 4–6 hours on the water. Must be off the water by 6pm.

### Overnight Trips
- **Arena to Spring Green (10 miles)** — Short distance, max sandbar time, popular for social groups
- **Mazomanie to Spring Green (18 miles)** — Just right for a single overnight
- **Prairie Du Sac to Spring Green (25 miles)** — Leisurely 3-day or ambitious 2-day trip

### How the Shuttle Works
Drivers drop gear at the put-in landing, then ALL passengers ride the shuttle bus to the start. You paddle downstream to Peck's Landing in Spring Green where your car is waiting. When you arrive, you pack up and leave — no waiting, no bus ride back.

Shuttle departure times: 10am and 12pm daily. Fridays add 3pm. Saturdays (peak season) add 9am and 11am. Shuttles leave exactly on time.

## Equipment

Fleet: 200 Old Town Discovery canoes (resold every 5 years), Castine kayaks. All boats are heavy-duty polyethylene — quiet, cool in the sun, nearly indestructible. Every rental includes comfortable ski-style life jackets, outfitter-grade paddles, and a waterproof river map. Emergency line staffed 24 hours.

## Reservations & Policies

- Reservations required at least 36 hours in advance (48 hours strongly recommended)

- No refunds within 7 days of trip start
- Must be off water by 6pm on last day of rental
- Glass containers not allowed
- Pets allowed on canoes
- Campfires allowed on sandbars
