Arena to Spring Green 8am,10am,12pm 1-2 Days 10 miles ~3 hours
A short overnight or full day trip - lots of sandbars, very little development, most popular stretch of river. Take as much time as you'd like, you'll finish at your car. Hint: the typical day tripper takes ~5 hours start to finish.

Mazomanie to Spring Green

8am, 10am, 12pm, 2pm 2 Days 18 miles ~6 hours

New in 2013 - Right in the middle for overnighters that think Arena is too short and Prairie Du Sac too long. You'll start just upriver of the Ferry Bluff hike and still have access to the state's only nude beach if you want it (because someone always asks).

Prairie Du Sac to Spring Green

8am, 10am, 12pm, 2pm 2-3 Days 25 miles ~8 hours Two full days of paddling or three leisurely.  Lots of sandbars and a short 30 minute hike at Ferry Bluff with a great view of the valley. Take as much time as you'd like, you'll finish at your car.

Looking for something to wow the socks off that special someone or have a wedding party to remember? Nevermind that no one wears socks on the river to begin with, we've put together something truly special - the classiest canoe trip you'll ever take. (Very limited availability)

Generally, expect midweek river traffic (other canoes and kayaks) from Prairie Du Sac to Spring Green to be less than a 1/4 of what you would see on a nice summer weekend. Motorboats are not common due to the sandbars and never larger than a flat-bottomed fishing boat.  There is a local hovercraft club that occasionally cruises up the river.

The paddling time is a rough average for the amount of time it would take you to paddle nonstop from put-in to take-out.  This does not account for changing river currents, wind direction, paddling ability, or most importantly, the amount of time you spend lounging on your personal island beaches.  This can turn a 10 mile day trip that takes 3 hours to paddle into a full day affair (which is never a problem, you've got the boat for a full day, might as well use it!)

Your cars will be parked at the Peck's Landing canoe launch where you will finish your trip (this allows you to canoe the river at your own pace with no finish time constraints - you can leave as soon as you're done).
