Business Groups

Wisconsin Canoe Company is beginning a trial program for the 2012 paddle season offering small and large businesses the chance to take their employees out into the semi-wilderness of the Lower Wisconsin Riverway for team building or just a day to relax and get to know each other.

The trial program gives any company with 6 or more employees 25% off normal group rates when booking a reservation.  Depending on the goals of the organizer, team building activities will be included along with information on how to best feed and manage the group while on the water.

Guide service is available to facilitiate all of the group logistics and activities.

Availability and costs can be found under reservations and the discount can be applied by using the code "business".  Note: the reservation must be in the name of the company or it will be rejected by staff.

Our Fleet of Holy Cows

hccanoe

We're extremely proud to offer Holy Cow Canoes to our customers.  There is a lot to be said for the quality and uniqueness of this company, hopefully after learning a bit about them, you'll agree.

From the Holy Cow website:

All the items used to produce a Holy Cow Canoe, right down to the rivets and screws, are made right here in North America.

This is no easy task in today's world, and certainly not the lowest cost. However we feel staying local allows for a better ability to work closely with suppliers to ensure the components used to build your Holy Cow Canoe are compatible and your canoe very well engineered.

Aside from developing closer relationships with local suppliers, neighbours, and people that paddle our canoes, we have always believed there is a definate value in supporting the people that support us.

There are many different methods used to build a canoe. Some are designed for speed and efficiency, or require less human effort, and others yet are designed to reduce the weight by a few pounds. Unfortunately employing most of these processes will create large amounts of waste that is non-biodegradable, or recyclable. As a result, we simply do not see the advantage in using many of these processes.

Processes used to build Holy Cow Canoes are focused on providing an environmental balance, reducing waste, and ensuring our boats are safe not only for your family, but also for the animals and places we visit.

Although more time consuming and a lot more work, the materials and methods used to produce your canoe are either brushed in manually by hand, or impregnated into the construction without any atomization. Components used to build your Holy Cow Canoe have been equipped with either all, or a portion of recycled materials when ever possible. We do not employ processing equipment, materials, or methods that create any CFC's, or large amounts of non-biodegradable waste as a byproduct of building a Holy Cow Canoe.

After all, what would be the point in exploring and enjoying the many beautiful wonders the world has to offer, if one is destroying them in the process. Rest assured that processes used to build a Holy Cow Canoe will not create a byproduct of consequence for our children in the future.

Although there is a cost to consider as recycled products are generally more expensive and the processes used to build a Holy Cow Canoe requires more effort, time, and ingenuity, we believe you will agree, that there is a far greater cost to consider.
